A message to all Altar Servers:
Public Masses will resume next weekend without Altar Servers at the current time unless contacted by Fr Pat or Paul Millen our Parish MC and you have been given guidance on serving safely by the MC Team.
This includes weekday and weekend masses.
Reopening of the Church for Sunday Mass.
We will open for Sunday Mass on Saturday evening (4th July) at 6.30 pm and on Sunday 5th
July we have masses at 9.30am 11.30 am and 6.30 pm. Masses will be shorter.
The 11.30 mass will continue to be live streamed on our Parish YouTube channel.
Since the pandemic begun the obligation to attend Sunday Mass has been removed by the Bishops of England and Wales – this still applies but if you wish to attend mass and wish to avoid the busy Sunday Masses please come along to 9am weekday mass (Monday to Friday).
The capacity of the church has been reduced in line with Government guidance and there will be a maximum number of approx. 120 people allowed in to Church during each Mass and social distancing must be observed and the hygiene regulations at all times.
We are doing our best to ensure the health and safety of parishioners coming to the Church therefore a few guidelines will need to be followed.
Please do NOT come to church if you have COVID-19 symptoms or have been contacted by the NHS Track and Trace service.
Entry to the church will be on a first come first served basis and social distancing will be required when queuing outside.
If possible can you not drive to church as space in the Car Park will be strictly limited.
On arrival you will directed by a steward to sanitize your hands.
Please bring you own face covering.
There will be no singing during Mass.
Do not use the kneelers.
There will be a box at the back of the church for your offertory envelopes.
The Toilets will be closed until further notice.
Please COOPERATE with the stewards and follow their directions on entry/exit and during the distribution of Holy Communion.
All the arrangements that we are putting in place will be continually assessed and reviewed as we move forward with this process of reopening our church.

Cure Without Care
Our tendency is to run away from the painful realities or to try to change them as soon as possible. But cure without care makes us into rulers, controllers, manipulators, and prevents a real community from taking shape. Cure without care makes us preoccupied with quick changes, impatient and unwilling to share each other’s burden. And so cure can often become offending instead of liberating.

Romans 5:12-15
The gift considerably outweighed the fall
Sin entered the world through one man, and through sin death, and thus death has spread through the whole human race because everyone has sinned. Sin existed in the world long before the Law was given. There was no law and so no one could be accused of the sin of ‘law-breaking’, yet death reigned over all from Adam to Moses, even though their sin, unlike that of Adam, was not a matter of breaking a law.
Adam prefigured the One to come, but the gift itself considerably outweighed the fall. If it is certain that through one man’s fall so many died, it is even more certain that divine grace, coming through the one man, Jesus Christ, came to so many as an abundant free gift.

The church will be open for private prayer this Wednesday 10am to 12pm & on Friday Evening between 7pm to 9pm.
It was announced yesterday that government has given permission for churches to be open for private prayer from next Monday 17th June.
We are looking for volunteers who can commit to a weekly time slot in the church to enable us to take this first step in reopening safely.
The role entails being a welcoming presence, reminding visitors where necessary about the use of hand sanitiser, the need for social distancing and wiping down surfaces people may have come into contact with but full guidance will be provided to all volunteers.
We will be implementing precautions to minimise risk of infection, please only volunteer if are not in the clinically vulnerable group or living with someone who is.
