Baptism
Parents wishing to have their child baptised In Our Lady of Lourdes must attend the pre-Baptism course which is held in the Pastoral Centre adjacent to the church. Parents of infants and/or young children may enter the Programme and parents may also enter the Programme during the time of the mother’s pregnancy if they so wish. Godparents are also welcome and encouraged to attend the programme. The course consists of two evenings and on completion parents make an appointment to see the parish priest to arrange a date for the baptism. You do not have to wait until your baby is born to undertake the Baptism Preparation Course.
A Baptism Form (see below) may be completed and brought with you to the course where you will be required to sign in for both evenings before having your child baptised. If you have not done so already you will also be requested to fill in a Parish Registration Form (also available on the website)
PLEASE NOTE
Parents are requested to arrange babysitters, as the evenings are not suitable for babies or young children. The training course includes 2 sessions, which parents must attend.
