CATHOLIC FELLOWSHIP

The Fellowship, formally known as the Catholic Handicapped Fellowship was set up about forty years ago as a support group for families with children with disabilities. It still serves this purpose but over the years it has grown and now provides many other activities.

We now have a Day Care Service, which provides parents with care for their children on Wednesdays and Fridays during the long summer holidays. We also arrange a long weekend holiday in autumn mid-term. We prepare members for the Sacraments and serve as a source of information for our members. Pilgrimages are arranged to Lourdes, Walsingham and Aylesford. We have outings to the theatre, dogs and restaurants among other places. At the moment our most popular activity is a trip on alternative Mondays to the pub with our older members.

To provide these activities and the others we need volunteers from the parishes. We are very grateful to the many we have, some of whom come from Our Lady of Lourdes. We always welcome new volunteers and if you would like to be one of these volunteers, please get in touch with either:
